We travelled from Vancouver to Whistler by car, stopping near Squamish to complete the Sea to Summit Trail. After a grueling hike, our first stop for some real food was at Saha eatery for some poutine and a small tabbouleh salad. The food wasn’t great, but you have to take what you can get after a difficult hike.

After our average lunch, we stopped in Squamish to wash it down with a sweet treat at Fox & Oak.

Afterwards, we headed to Whistler where we stopped at Harajuku for dinner. The food was terrible, but there aren’t many great vegan options in Whistler. It’s a “Disney World” for adventure sports in Canada and you have to expect that the food quality will match the aesthetic.

We woke up the next morning bright and early in order to start hiking. We found one of the couple of great spots in Whistler for some vegan food. It’s a cozy little spot inside the village called Naked Sprout Cafe. We frequented this establishment a couple of times on our journey.

In the evening we stopped at Mongolie Grill for some dinner. There aren’t a lot of vegan options in the village. However, Mongolie Grill will use different utensils and a dedicated grill space if you mention that you’re vegan. You also get 20% off your bill.

The food highlight of Whistler is a place called BreD. Everything there was incredible and we wish we had the opportunity to visit it more than once. We had a short stay in Whistler and it’s not open every day of the week. However, if you are in the area and you have a vehicle, it is worth the trip. We picked up some snacks before our luxurious experience at the Scandinave Spa in Whistler.

After our experience at the Spa, we returned to the village to go to Naked Sprout Cafe for lunch.

Our last meal in Whistler was at a restaurant called Peaked Pies in the village. The flavors were interesting, but it wasn’t the best. We aren’t well versed in vegan pies, so it was a novel experience for us.

Let me be clear! There are vegan options in Whistler. BreD and Naked Sprout Cafe were standouts. However, a long trip may prove to disappoint the taste buds. If you’re spending a long time, you may want to make sure that your AirBnB has a kitchen. Let’s be real. We go to Whistler for the outdoor adventures.
