I spent 3 full days in Cambridge, Massachusetts doing what I usually do in any city – hunting down vegan food using happycow and scouring the web for unheard of spots to see whether or not the food can satiate my palate. There are options in Cambridge, but unfortunately it’s all mid.
I started at Zhu Pan Asian Vegan, which is fully vegan. I ordered the Kung Pao Eggplant, but it was just alright. It’s affordable and the portion sizes are great. If you’re in a bind, this might be a place you want to add on your list. Please note that it’s slightly north of Cambridge.

The best meal of the trip wasn’t in Cambridge, but across the river in Boston. The establishment is called Red White Ramen and is fully vegan. This is the best vegan food in Boston in my opinion. This is my 4th or 5th time visiting this place and it never misses. Spice levels change based upon the dish you order. Eat the spiciest ramen at your own risk! 🥵

Random boxed lunch I had at Harvard during graduation!

I also stopped at Veggie Grill near Harvard Square. This establishment is fully vegan, but it’s not incredible. I could’ve made better at home, but it is a quick and filling option in Cambridge. I got the citrus glazed tofu bowl for $16 before tax and tips.
I grabbed a cold-pressed beet juice from Life Alive. Not fully vegan, but they have some options. The juice was not great.

Last stop was Ramen o Bowl. The service was terrible. I got the Tom Yum (Hot and Sour). The portions were healthy, but the flavor was average. Not memorable for the price.

Overall, Cambridge is not a great area if you’re hunting for flavorful vegan meals. There’s food, but I’m not sure it tastes great.
